Faqs, tips, and tricks for mason jar salads

Mason jar salads are meant to be able to be meal prepped in advance while staying fresh for days.

In order for the salads to stay fresh and not get soggy, you have to layer the ingredients in specific order and secure it tightly with a lid.

We order the ingredients from wet to dry. Some people prefer to order them by density. We find that by starting with wet at the bottom, the lettuce never gets soggy.

We find that 1/4 cup of several of the ingredients works well for covering a layer in a 32 ounce jar.
