Tips & tricks for making cookies with sweetened condensed milk

Make sure to soften the butter ahead of time so that it mixes easily into the recipe. We don’t recommend putting it in the microwave to soften.

Instead, put hot water in a mug and leave it there for 1 minute. Dump out the hot water and place the warm mug upside down over the butter to let it soften slowly.

While it may be tempting to skip chilling the dough, it’s important to take the time to do so. If you skip the chill time, the cookies will be flat and not as soft.

Keep the cookies in the oven until the edges begin to get lightly golden brown. If you take them out too soon, they’ll be flat.
