Home-style Crock Pot Honey Asian Chicken

Home-style Crock Pot Honey Asian Chicken
Honey Asian Chicken

We love this chicken. Plain, straightforward, and so good!

The trick to chicken in the crock pot is not to over cook it.

For the longest time we struggled trying to figure out why our chicken always came out dry or with a weird texture.

Someone suggested that we shorten the cooking time and voila! Chicken magic.

The method is sweet with a little spicy kick from the red pepper flakes.

It’s a plain, light recipe, and even has a shorter cooking time as far as crock pots are concerned.

Prep 5 minutesCook 3 hoursMakes 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Method

  1. Place chicken in the crock pot and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a separate bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour into the crock pot with the chicken.
