Tips for Well-balanced Hard Boiled Eggs (Instant Pot)

  • You can use any number of eggs. If you’re using more than will fit on one layer, stay the eggs. You have to make sure they aren’t touching the water, that’s the only requirement. You can make anywhere from 1 to however many will fit in the pot! You still use the same amount of water.
  • If you want a softer boiled egg, use less time. We prefer ours hard boiled so we do ours the full 10 minutes.
  • Peel them right away, don’t wait. We've found that if you try to wait until later, they don’t peel as straightforward.
  • After removing from the ice bath, we find that cracking it on the side with the little empty space and starting to peel from there gives the easiest and best peeling results.
